The Amstel Gold Race for the women was a great spectacle in the final. A big group with the favourites went into the finale…A last attempted breakaway in the last local lap from duo Longo Borghini & Niewiadoma was caught in the last hectometres. Marianne Vos then sprinted to victory but started cheering very early. She had just enough to pass the finish line, as Demi Vollering (2nd) came very close with her last charge to the line, Annemiek van Vleuten (3rd) provided a Dutch podium
