Following a successful season so far on the roads of Europe, Matt Teggart of the VC Villefranche Beaujolais Team proved the best at the Country Crit in County Armagh on Friday night as he outsprinted Lindsay Watson of PowerHouse Sport and Darnell Moore of Caldwell Cycles.  The Banbridge man pulled clear in a group of six that included former Ras winner Stephen Gallagher before the gang of three forged clear with six laps remaining to fight it out in the final sprint.

In the A3 race, Oisin Rogers of Armagh City Cyclists proved a very popular local winner with an impressive sprint from a much-reduced field ahead of Richard Topping (The Bike House) and Stephen Hanna (Dromara CC). Rogers has featured in the results of several races in recent weeks and this win takes him up to A2.

Note: “The A4 & Ladies and U16 was a combined race to make it a good field in numbers”) In the Under 16 race it was the Shelbourne Orchard CC duo of Samuel Coleman and Seth Dunwoody who crossed the line together ahead of Dara Doherty in third (The first U16 girl was Aine Doherty -VC Glendale see photo below)

In the A4 race, Gareth Talbot won ahead of Peter Elliott and Declan McCaffery of Phoenix. The first woman home was Rachel Irvine of The Bike House Bangor (Photo below)

Peter Quigley outsprinted Leah Rafferty of the Island Wheelers and James Armstrong of Dromara CC in the U14 race (Boys)

In the U12 race, Coran McCourt of VC Glendale powered home to victory ahead of Emer Heverin and Clodagh Quigley in third (photo below)
