Dromara Cycling Club hosted their 5th edition of the Slieve Croob Hill Climb Challenge on Saturday 18th September 2021. The 5-kilometer route from the base of Dree Hill to the top of the climb does live up to the term – “challenge”. With near-perfect weather conditions, 26 riders took on the challenge in one-minute gaps starting just after 10 am. The fastest rider on the day was Lindsay Watson (Powerhouse Sport) with Stuart Millar (Ards CC) second and Nathan Mullan from the host club third. Unfortunately, there were no female competitors this year. All riders were offered a t-shirt with the winner getting a winner’s jersey and their name on the trophy. Many thanks to all the volunteers who helped put on the event
