Imogen said on her social media pages: “So proud to announce that I will be riding for @planturpura in 2022!
Signing a professional contract with a team of this caliber is something I’ve worked so hard towards since my first year of racing in 2019. I’m so, so excited to be able to fully commit myself to cycle and working for this fantastic team with no distractions. I am fully open to learning everything I can from the amazing riders that will be around me, as well as the experienced management. I still feel like I’ve got so much potential to improve and this feels like the perfect team to make that next step in
I’ll be riding a great road program, and I hope to be able to combine that with some e-racing and gravel too“
Imogen will have some very strong teammates next year…here above Kim De Baat, Belgian National Team Member at the Worlds in Leuven, Kim has been an undervalued rider for a long time, but she was selected by the Belgian team for various races where she worked unconditionally for leaders like Kopecky and D’hoore. A very experienced rider and someone who can also get a good result herself in the flat races…(photo courtesy of @Snap 2021 Belgium)
