On behalf of the Belgian Project, I would like to express my deepest sympathies to his wife, children, family, and friends of Adrian, I only met him a few times at the TOTN, the Ras Donegal, and the Donegal Ultra 555, but we exchanged greetings at our birthdays since then, and got encouragement from Adrian in what I try to do …he will be missed in his beloved Derry and Donegal…Rest in peace my friend

His good friend Johnny (above) posted today on his social media page: ” Adrian Mc Dermott will be arriving home at 4.00 pm this evening. He will be leaving his house at 10.30 am on Thursday morning traveling to Longtower in Derry. He will be laid to rest in St Baithins cemetery in St Johnston. Kieran Porter and a few other cyclists have suggested that we arrange a guard of honor to give him the send-off he deserves. If we can share this around all the cycling clubs. Thanks. RIP Adrian ?
