Foreword Dany: “As I was in the area with the National Road Series in Knockaderry (Newcastle West-Limerick) on Saturday and only about 75 km from the Village of Blarney, I decided to stay overnight in the hotel in Newcastle West (Longcourt House) and travel on Sunday morning to Blarney. I got a very warm welcome from the club and its volunteers and got the info on where to meet the cavalcade a few times…managed the first stop on the dragging road to Kanturk, but got lost going to my midway stop..what’s new…lol.. Back to Blarney for a bit of photos of the village and something to eat, and well on time at the finish…It was well worth the drive as met new friends, and some old ones, and had a good look at some of my selection pool hopefuls on both days, which I don’t see much racing in the north, it gives me a bit of info about their performances and abilities…this to give them a fair chance. Well done Blarney CC….the family of Donal Crowley must be very proud to see his name living forever with the memorial, now back to prepare for another road trip…this time to the Kerry County for the Ras Mumhan starting in Tralee…MC for the event…always a challenge when commentating multiple days… and with not kissing the Blarney Stone (my wife told me not to ) I maybe get lost in words…lol
