Our shop was opened by George McCarron as Georges Cyclosport over 16 years ago, in Emyvale, Co. Monaghan. We have been faithfully serving the local and wider Ulster cycling community since then. In early 2021, George retired and Marc Andrews took over, renaming the shop The Spin Doctor, but remaining at the same location in the town of Emyvale, just off the N2.

I am a custom shoe designer who specialises in personalising footwear with hand-painted art highlighted by bold designs, flashy colours, and detailed illustrations. I personally ‘doctor’ each pair of shoes to visually tell the stories of those who wear them. Edgy, unique, and distinctive, my doctored shoes are fashionable representations of creative expression in the modern era. Though certainly unexpected, the journey to where I am now has been illuminating, inspiring, and led by instinct. After graduating from Coventry University with a degree in Product Design, I took on a traditional 9-5 role to pay the bills. While I loved my job and the people I worked with, I felt unfulfilled and unchallenged artistically. So in my spare time, I started painting shoes as a hobby I never in my wildest dreams expected to turn into my life’s purpose and passion. With the help of family, friends, mentors, and an unforeseen pandemic that resulted in me being furloughed, I now focus my efforts full time on my custom shoe business.
