A message from the O’ Riordan family: “We would sincerely like to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for all that made todays race possible. Firstly we would like to thank the riders, because without you there would not have been a race. we would like to the the Marshalls, the Gardaí, the Red Cross, the commissaires, those who drove lead cars, team cars, motorbikes and broom wagon. we would like to thank all that helped at the start and finish lines and of course the community of Athea for welcoming us so graciously today. Finally we would like to thank Newcastle West CC firstly for hosting this race but most of all for all the support that you have shown us since PJ’s passing. we are extremely grateful.

A big thank you to the family of Francie and Michelle Collins (NWCC) for their hospitality with putting us up for the night, a hard working dairy farming family from the Strand Area in Limerick finding the time to look after us, even had a tour of what happens inside a Dairy Farm…in a former live I was a Fisherman and thought it was hard work, well I opened my eyes of what hard work actually is on land, my deepest respect for such farmers…Jerome and Dany B
