A big thank you to women's "Belco-Van Eyck Cycling Team (BEL)" for taking Caoimhe O'Brien in their midst this year...Caoimhe repaid their kindness from the start with a 15th place (120+ entries and same time as the winner), a second place (116 entries) + the Young Riders Jersey, AND A WIN (74 entries) to finish her weekend of 3 days international interclub races (UCI 1.15.2) in the Flanders!! (19-20-21 May 2023)

Caoimhe get welcomed by Freddy Jansegers (Ex Bike shop owner-mechanic) who is the man behind the move of Caoimhe to Belgium. Freddy discussed our Irish talent with the team manager Luc Steenackers (see phot below), and the boss agreed to take her on this year, and with her experience gained with Torelli, her impressive CV, Caoimhe certainly will be an asset to one off the top- women’s amateur teams in Belgium. They have quality riders, quality sponsors, even bikes provided, an amateur team that can be mistaken for a continental team, due to their set-up and top program!! Freddy is a long standing fan of Women’s cycling, and follows closely the Irish girls in the continent, the likes of Megan Armitage and Imogen Cotter, Alice Sharp and so many more certainly know him well, they can call him a friend, and always there to help out if something need to be sorted. Freddy has ties in Ireland as he owns a few properties here, loves the big sportive’s, one of his favourites the Ring of Kerry to name one, and a big supporter of the Belgian Project…Thank you so much Freddy and Luc…in behalf of the Irish cycling community…Hartelijk bedankt, geweldig ge-appricieerd, yours in sport, Dany (Founder Belgian Project)
