(Day 4 Sun 6th August ) The Para-Cycling Team Ireland receives a 3rd bronze medal with Ronan Grimes!! The medal count now stands at 5, which includes 2 off the Gran Fondo part of the champs. This on a chaotic, but much enjoyable day at the Elite RR Champs. The Irish supporters just bringing the craic to Glasgow, supporting our lads despite their bad luck!! But well done to Dutch Matthieu VDP "Simply the best, better than all the rest"

Men B Sprint team – knocked out in the Quarter Finals (will race tomorrow in the 5-6 final)

In the Para-cycling World Championships, Martin Gordon and Eoin Mullen competed in the tandem sprint earlier today. In the 200m time trial this morning, they recorded the 5th quickest time which saw them qualify for the quarter finals for the first of the match sprints, they faced off against Australia, who won the first two rounds and therefore progressing to the semi-finals. Gordon and Mullen will race tomorrow against USA for 5th place. (info CI)

Caroline Kerley now a VIP in Scandinavia!! Even the song “Sweet Caroline” came over the PA with the crowd singing along!! They maybe not remember the Irish racers, but they will remember such wonderful moment!!
