What’s on in April, and beginning May on our roads? You would like to have your event promoted on this forum, send me details and poster of your event to danyblondeel@yahoo.co.uk at least a week before it takes place…it can boost your numbers, and a free service to all open events in Ireland North or South (no club leagues please as you can understand)

Entry now open…go to https://eventmaster.ie/event/z1VmuPYSQJ  (Men/women/M40/M50/M60/M70/W40/W50/W60/W70/ Para cyclist) First rider off a 7.01pm with 1 min intervals.

Entry numbers are extremely low for the Wallace Caldwell so far and we have been in talks with Cycling Ulster and the Commissaires to discuss options for the weekend. Based on the low entry numbers, the race will now be run as a handicap race. C1/2/3 ALL in one race! Just like the good old days! Handicap is expected to be approximately 10 mins front to back. C2’s handicap will be somewhere between 4 and 6 minutes depending on entries and will be confirmed on the day by the Chief Comm. This means that both C3 and C2 Category riders will stand a great chance to win the race, if their bunch of riders work together!!If we do not see significant rise in entries by the closing time (10pm) on Wednesday. https://eventmaster.ie/event/4z2wu4rFEe We will have no other option but to cancel the race. Please be aware that this is the last thing we want to do as a club and I personally have put a lot of work into preparation for this years race, Luke McMullan, BRC Race Secretary

This event will consist of a F200, Scractch Race, and Mile with all points going forward to a Points Race. Riders will be allocated to separate categories and compete within that category towards section and overall prize. Our aspiration is to have competitive groups of similar numbers, grouped by ability. We will have a separate Women’s section subject to entry level and spread of abilities.
