Bray Wheelers Club – Publicity News

Bray Wheelers are one the oldest cycling clubs in Ireland, having celebrated its 75th Anniversary in 2024. In the past year, a super talented, strong Elite Racing Club Team has emerged that our Club are very proud of to support. Our aim is to give this group of talented, quality Road Racers the best chance to develop and improve their racing skills with the Bray Wheelers Club fully behind them in their quest to dominate the 2025 Irish Racing Calendar. We are an extremely lucky to have such talent within our Club – fielding a 5 man team in the big Stage Races – Ras Mumhan and upcoming Ras Tailteann at the end of this month. We have secured financial support from sponsors to help us along with our coaching and mentoring in our Club. We have the “Buy In” and commitment from this great group of lads and our aim is to develop them and get the best outcome for each and every one of them. Being immensely proud of our Racing group makes it easy for the Club to get behind them. We fully believe these lads will reach their potentials and hopefully do some damage to the podium places on the Race Calendar!! Already we have Jorge galloping up the categories because he has taken on the challenge. We are in the infancy stages of developing an Elite Cycling team. We all know how “all consuming” this sport can be. It has to be admired and supported at a club level to improve the cycling sport in this country. We really believe it starts with a few enthusiastic riders who want to challenge themselves both mentally and physically. Our Club wants to give whatever resources we have to get these lads to reach their potential & beyond. It’s a “win-win” for everyone. Nobody loses and isn’t that what sport is all about??

A New Era for Bray Wheelers Club: An Emerging Elite Club Racing Team for 2025

With financial backing from our new Sponsors, we are building our Race Team. We are extremely grateful for their belief & financial backing in 2025 and want to acknowledge and thank the following: MJ Duncan & Sons, Dublin & Clara Joinery, Wicklow & Bike Ski Row, Dublin & Glenview Leisure, Kilmacanogue & Pioneer Security, Dublin & Sports Room, Wicklow Town & Hollingsworth Bikes, Dublin & Ornan Kitchens, Co Meath & The Bike Rack, Dublin!! With our Sponsors help, Our Racing Team will be at all Stage and Open Races on the Irish Calendar as well as trips to Belgium to get race ready for Cycling Ireland’s Calendar 2025.
