The 2024 “Killowen Contracts LTD Tour of the Mournes” provisional start list of Sunday 5th of May hosted by Newry Wheelers, with the *Spelga dam climb* twice to conquer on the menu for the A1-A2’s, and once for the A3-Women-A4!  Early start at 9:15 am!!

In memory of my grandfather Hector Dekeyser, who was wounded at the Somme in the “Great War” and survived …between the 2 wars he had a cycle repair shop in Wenduine (Belgian Coastal Town) and in the Thirties he starting delivering beer to the pubs from his yard (Bergenbier) this till the end of the sixties. He was the man who got me interested in cycling!! The bicycle and cyclists, they played a very important part in both wars…here some stories (11 Nov 2022)
