His good friend Johan Museeuw told Belgian Media: Ludo Dierckxsens was that type of person who was very popular everywhere and by everyone. “He was a popular figure and was recognized by everyone because of his broad smile.” After his active career, Dierckxsens and Museeuw regularly went out together on their bikes. That was sometimes for one good cause or another. That is ultimately how Dierckxsens passed away. “Then you ask yourself: do you really need to do all that? The answer to that is *yes* Only the harsh reality is that someone like Ludo has to die on a bike.” For someone who likes to link his passion for cycling to big causes like “Kom op tegen Kanker” that is apparently the sad fate.
