Honoured to been asked to be part of a day of rivalry and friendship, a family feeling all day long
Lucky with the weather yesterday in Castlereagh ((Tommy Given Orangefield Track) at the outskirts of Belfast for the Youth Track Champs…around 32 entries on the day divided into 3 cats (U12-14-16) and 3 disciplines to deal with for the young ones. The low nrs a bit disappointing due to other youth events taking place this weekend…maybe the different commissions should sit together when the calendar gets sorted for the year and make sure these things don’t class with each other, especially when there are championships to deal with in one weekend, we will lose promoters the way it is, saying that the ones who attended in Belfast give us great entertainment, rivalry and friendship…well behaved youngsters and credit to their parents who support them and bring them to races sometimes 4 hours away….due to doing the MC job limited photos but plenty on several social media pages to find…we also had a few crashes, at least no broken bones but some horrific road rash injuries…some needed stitches too…we wish them a speedy recovery …it was a great day out overall, my voice was gone at the end of the day. A thank you for the donation received from the promoters, it keeps me on the road to cover such events. A well-organised event from the promoters CI and CU and the youth track commissions …well done to all medals winners and all who competed today! Some provisional results below and a link to some photos I took between races …Today’s warriors are tomorrows stars…the foundation of any sport is his youth!!
