The annual Carn Classic road race will take place on Saturday the 6th April 2024. The race will follow the usual route with the same finish. The day will consist of an A2 only, A3 only and A4 /ladies race, with the first group away at 09.00am. Riders to gather no earlier than 8.40 am at the national speed limit sign on the Carricknakielt Road in Maghera. Prize giving will be after each race at the finish line. The course for this year will be the BRC Ahoghill circuit with taking fast descents, short punchy climbs and undulating back roads being the order of the day. The Donegal Bay Spring Sportive is back again for 2024. Entry open now on https://eventmaster.ie/event/56e1TQvsEz With the option of three routes, there is something for everyone. Taking in the scenic roads of South West Donegal, our Sportive offers stunning scenery, challenging routes, good organisation and great hospitality. All routes will meander along the “Wild Atlantic Way” with the 140km route taking in some of Donegal’s famous “Bluestack Drive” Registration will open at 8:30 with the riders setting off from the St John Bosco Centre, Donegal Town at 10:00. Three Routes are on offer catering for all level of cyclists, with hot food at finish for cyclists taking on the 100km & 140km Cycling Ireland license required to participate. Non Cycling Ireland members can purchase a 1 day license for €20. Entrants are required to sign-on between 8:30am – 9.30am with cycle departing at 10am. Please bring some proof of purchase and CI license for sign-on 140km & 100km will include a water & toilet stop and a generous food stop at halfway point and hot food served at the finish. Price €30. 50km including water & toilet stop at halfway point with tea and sandwiches served at the finish. Price €10.
