Our future cycling stars had their first event of 2023!! The Ulster Cycling Youth Academy “The CUYA Crit & TT series round 1” was held at the Bishopscourt Racing circuit near Downpatrick Co-Down (Sun 19th March) Grass root cycling in a very safe and family environment !! The “Ras Mhaigh Eo 2023” held in Westport Co-Mayo last weekend (Sat 18th-Sun 19th March) was dominated by the Dan Morrissey-Primor by Pissei team. Matthew Devins (U23) won all 3 stages and overall GC, Conor |Hennebry got the points GC, and Sean Hahessy the KOM GC!! The pink jersey went to Caoimhe O’Brien (U/A Leinster) with Niall Mc Loughlin-Covey-Wheelers Westport taking the espoirs white jersey. The 2023 Tour of Ards was held this Saturday 18th March in the Lower Ards Peninsula with start in Portaferry, and finish at Windmill Hill overlooking the harbour in this picturesque town.
