Harvest day in Belgium for the Irish (14th. August 2019)

The Irish become very well known in Belgium these days, the guts and desire to win very apparently at top level (Sam Bennett Bora) and at the junior level also very evident to say the least!! Sam’s historic 3rd win in a row at the UCI Teams BinckBankTour (Aalter Belgium) followed by Cathir Doyle (Powerhouse Sport and ex graduate 2018 of the BP) winning in the Walloon Area, joined on the podium by Kevin Mc Cambridge (NRPT-Chill-Vitus & BP Graduate 2019) in second place in Saint Roche Lessines! This is the second 1-2 for these lads, the other day the other way around. Not forgetting Matthew Devins (Yeats Country & BP Graduate 2019) who finished 13th, but was the man who stayed in the bunch to mark anyone who tries to get to the break who went away in the 4th lap!! A successful time in Belgium is now finished as they now returning home to prepare for the Junior Tour of Wales next week. The Belgian juniors now relieved with them gone…lol

Winner: Doyle Cathir ahead of McCambridge Kevin and third Kawasaki Miori (IRC Tire Japan)
Well done Cathir and Kevin …hope all the prizes fit in your luggage
Well done Sam….in the history books now in Belgium
