Saturday 21st March: The “Simon Brien Residential Tour of Ards” St Patrick Parish Hall, Newtownards, Victoria Rd, start at 10:50 am and promoted by Ards CC

Ards Cycling Club wishes to thank the Newtownards branch of Simon Brien Residential who have chosen to sponsor our established ‘Spring Classic’ which will see 80 riders race around the beautiful Ards Peninsula for the coveted Tommy Brown Memorial Trophy.  Again we have the support of the PSNI motorbikes to assist with the running of the event.  Thanks also to Bioracer who are providing the winner’s jersey and to our club sponsor Romas Bar and Bistro Newtownards. The route can be viewed here. Total distance is 125 km. Total prize fund is £750 with £175 for the winner. It’s TT season and that means another instalment of the Breffni Wheelers Open TT. This event always delivers great fast competitive racing action. The race event takes place on Sunday, March 29th. The first rider off at 9.30 am, A minimum of an LC Cycling Ireland license is a requirement for this event.
