So sorry to hear the news this morning of the death of Eddie Polin, member of Island Wheelers. I know Eddie since I have been involved in Irish racing, a legend in the Mid-Ulster area, a man you can call old school…outspoken but with a smile, had long conversations with Eddie about my homeland races and old fashion tactics…will miss him when we return to races…In behalf of the Belgian Project, my sincere condolences to his family and all his friends in cycling. Island Wheeler’s notice: The club was saddened this morning to hear the news on the passing of Eddie Polin. Our deepest sympathies and condolences to the Polin family at this sad time. As a club and friends, we can’t pay our respects to Eddie but he will forever be in our thoughts. Eddie has left us all with cherished memories which we all remember fondly forever. We will as a club when the time allows us to celebrate Eddie’s life and passing. Gone but will never be forgotten. RIP Eddie.
