Mark Cavendish won the bunch sprint and taking the lead in the Tour of Turkey!! The 35-year-old Briton found his racing joy back with his ex-team. He felt reborn and had been close to it a few times in recent weeks. The whole team (The Wolf Pack) put themselves in the final kilometers for Cavendish, in the last 3 km, only Archbold and Hodeg remained. But that was enough. Alpecin-Fenix went up with Philipsen, who threw his sprint tricks on the table at 200 meters, Greipel went after it, Cavendish came a little later. He passed the German in a sublime way and slipped past the Belgian. The joy with Cavendish, team, and his entourage was enormous. His 147th professional victory was a fact, more than 3 years after the 3rd stage in the Dubai Tour in 2018. Cormac Mc Geough and Jesse Ewart, our Irish lads in the race finished just like yesterday in the bunch in the same time as Cav.
