The Armagh City Cyclists races (A3-A4) held yesterday (Sun 11th) at the outskirts of Armagh (Navan Fort Centre) was a wet one (and that is a mild observation of the word wet) More competitors than spectators, but well run by the local club, with plenty of volunteers to make the race safe, and even it was a handicap race, the 5 minutes given to the A4’s was never in danger of being caught (as the A3’s didn’t make headway to cancel out the handicap) and in the end they could sprint for the prizes on offer, and after consultations with the riders, CI points been awarded separate to both cat’s…as it basically was a morning of 2 races…with the A4’s taking the money prizes, and the first 3 riders of the A3’s getting the unplaced cash prizes, instead of the A4’s…confused? …so am I…ah well, it made a dull morning (weather wise) a bit more interesting… and well run by Armagh City Cyclists and his volunteers! A thank you to the club for the donation been given, it makes a difference, and fuel for the next few weeks, regards Dany and Jerome Mc Namara (my brother in law and roadie…lol)
