Successful night in a chilly Kirkistown (near the Irish Sea coast in North Down) with over a hundred riders entry and a full set of racing schedule starting with the youth. The Underage races been part of the Cycling Ulster Youth Academy league and promoted by Ards CC as part of their criterium event. The cafe on the circuit parking opened for the occasion, including the toilet facilities for changing. All in place for a very pleasant night of racing. The women separate race had £175 of jewellery vouchers from the Lauren May shop in Belfast https://www.laurenmayonline.com/ The youth prizes donated by the Belfast branch of Chain Reaction https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/ and cash prizes for the elite men by Ards CC. Very proud to be an honorary member of Ards CC, they deliver each time a well organised cycling event and last night was no different…all hand’s on the deck each time of asking…here below some podium shots and some action shots + provisional results of each race …A thank you to the Kirkistown Circuit officials to let me use their PA system…I most have been heard in the Isle of man..lol A big chapeau to Ards CC, his volunteers, the timekeepers, the photo finish operator Ian Barfoot, the St John Ambulance, Kirkistown Racing circuit, the comm’s Linda, James and Philip, all the competitors and photographers on the night…yours in sport Dany B
