URGENT MESSAGE from Navan RC >> ? Calling all Junior Men racers.!!
As part of our upcoming Sean Nolan Grand Prix – National Road Series promotion, we have a separate Junior Men’s race. 4 laps – 92km. ?
There are very few opportunities for juniors to race solely within their own category. ?‍♂️
Recently published figures show 268 registered Junior riders, with some top talent fighting it out in the point standings. We’d love to see you in Navan.
Given the upcoming National Road Championships in June, and the Junior Tour of Ireland in July……now is the perfect time to build your form and impress team selectors !!

(The Belgian Project will be there for commentary and tunes…see you all on Sunday)

The 2022 Emyvale GP on Sunday 22nd May

Emyvale Cycling Club host their highly renowned annual Grand Prix on Sunday 22nd May after a two-year absence (Entry link below). This year’s race once again takes place just outside Monaghan town on the Ballybay road-based at Tommy Martins Fuels yard. Eircode H18 D267. Thanks Tommy.

As you are probably aware, there is a clash with Navan Road Club’s hosting of the National Road series on the same day, so we have liaised with Navan RC and decided mutually that we will avoid hosting conflicting races. Hence we will not be hosting an A1 or A2 event this year and likewise, Navan RD will not be hosting an A3 or A4 race. We encourage all relevant categories’ riders to attend the appropriate event in either Emyvale or Navan.
Emyvale CC’s racing begins at 10 am with the A3/Junior race, followed at 3-minute intervals by the A4, Master’s, and Women’s races. The women’s race is a part of the Cycling Ulster Women’s League, but all women are welcome on the day. All details and entry info on https://eventmaster.ie/event/mblKhyVFM8

News from Newry Wheelers

Men’s Race Sold out!!
However, I kept places for junior riders for the event, if these are not all taken up by the end of the week I will allocate them to senior riders. I strongly advise any rider interested in racing the 3-day to sign up via event master and join the reserve list >> https://eventmaster.ie/event/MvRoFbdiBz << As previously mentioned there will be a cap on team entries so if a squad has more than 5 riders they will have to pick their team. Full refunds will be given till the end of May for riders and then rider transfers will be possible up until 2 weeks before the race.I strongly urge the women to enter asap as it makes planning the event easier for all.

Important and caring message!!
