Foreword Dany: ” A busy weekend ahead with visits as MC in Scotstown Co-Monaghan for the 10th Anniversary of “Patsy’s Cycling Memorabillia Museum” and a celebration weekend with Cycling Jersey’s Exhibit of a live long collection of Patsy Brady of Tydnavet near Monaghan City, and my weekly coverage of the CX, this time in Castle Saunderson near Belturbet in Co-Cavan for round 4 of the 2022 Ulster League, also the first time ever an Ulster CX league cross been held in the Republic of Ireland. For my Belgian followers…The Province of Ulster is N-Ireland + 3 counties of the South of Ireland which are Monaghan, Cavan and Donegal…The other provinces Leinster, Munster and Connaught are completely in the Republic…Cycling Ulster is part of Cycling Ireland but has his own board and Executive as the 3 other ones….A bit like the federations in the Flanders, but part of the Belgian main federation…its a long story and political as well, and still not understand it after living here since 1987 (half of my life)
Voorwoord Dany: ” Een druk weekend voor de boeg met bezoeken als MC in Scotstown Co-Monaghan voor de 10e verjaardag van “Patsy’s Cycling Memorabillia Museum” een feestweekend met Cycling Jersey’s Exhibit, een levenslange collectie van Patsy Brady die woont in Tydnavet, waar zijn museum is… en Zondag mijn wekelijkse verslaggeving van de CX, dit keer in Castle Saunderson nabij Belturbet in Co-Cavan voor ronde 4 van de Ulster League 2022, ook de eerste keer dat er ooit een Ulster CX league cross werd gehouden in de Republiek Ierland…De provincie Ulster is Noor-Ierland ( die behoort tot Groot Brittania + 3 counties van Zuid-Ierland die Monaghan, Cavan en Donegal zijn…De andere provincies Leinster, Munster en Connaught liggen volledig in de Republiek…Cycling Ulster maakt deel uit van Cycling Ireland maar heeft zijn eigen bestuur en Executive…. Een beetje zoals de federaties in Vlaanderen, maar onderdeel van de Belgische hoofdfederatie… het is een lang verhaal en ook politiek, en ik begrijp het nog steeds niet nadat ik hier al sinds 1987 in Ierland wonende, Zuid en de laatste 33 jaar in het Noorden (exact half of mijn leven)

I would like to let you all know that I am celebrating a significant birthday at the end of October. To mark the occasion I have joined up with a local group to help them in their efforts of fundraising. As you will see the event is involving cycling jerseys) which has been a great passion of mine from my young days. I would ask you all to please support in any way that you can. Ik wil jullie allemaal laten weten dat ik eind oktober een belangrijke verjaardag vier. Ter gelegenheid hiervan heb ik me aangesloten bij een lokale groep om hen te helpen bij hun inspanningen om geld in te zamelen. Zoals je zult zien, gaat het om wielershirts, wat al van jongs af aan een grote passie van mij is. Ik zou jullie allemaal willen vragen om op welke manier dan ook te steunen. The Peugeot Jersey from the early 1980s (See above bottom left) Stephen Roche first pro team and the first Irish rider to win the Paris Nice in 1981 , and the jersey is autographed by Phillip Anderson ,a team mate from Australia “De Peugeot Jersey uit het begin van de jaren 80, Stephen Roche eerste profteam en de eerste Ierse renner die de Paris Nice in 1981 won, en de trui is gesigneerd door Phillip Anderson, een teamgenoot uit Australië”
The famous Flandria jersey and team (the first pro team for Sean Kelly 1977) See above bottom right…He won his first Tour De France stage with this West Flanders team. >> De beroemde Flandria-trui en -ploeg (de eerste profploeg voor Sean Kelly 1977) Hij won zijn eerste Tour De France-etappe met deze West-Vlaamse ploeg <<
