“The Brian O’Loughlin Memorial – Road National Series RD 3” was held in the picturesque village of Cong “Land of the Quiet Man” Co-Mayo, hosted by Cunga CC last Sunday the 23rd off April. A beautiful course, but a very demanding one as well, this would be a perfect Championship circuit indeed!! Report Cunga CC ” Like last year, sprint finishes decided both men’s and women’s races at the Brian O’Loughlin Memorial – Road National Series RD 3.
Caoimhe O Brien @BelcoVanEyck went one better than last year when she just pipped Jennifer Neenan Newcastle West Wheelers-Long Court Hotel, and Ella Doherty UCD Cycling Club on the line.
Aoife O Brien Spellman Dublin Port Cycling Team retains the overall series leaders jersey, while Shauna Finn Arcane Cycling Team is now the leading junior.
A seven hour round trip paid off for Conor Halvey Four Masters Cycling Club as he had the legs to hold off Evaldas Stankevicius Greenmount Cycling Academy, and Richie Maes All human VeloRevolution Cycling Team, for the biggest win of his career so far.
Daire Feeley holds on to the overall series leaders jersey.
Current national junior champion Oisin Ferrity Team Caldwell Cycles was first junior over the line but Killian O Brien Orwell Wheelers CC holds on to the series lead“
