Saturday 21st October, Stamullen, Co Meath, a sleepy village who became a mecca of Irish Cycling today, the home of late Gabriel (GAYBO) Howard (Founder Stamullen CC, 21 Ras Tailteann as competitor, and another 30 years as neutral service, race commentator, charity volunteer, and so much more) Today a Memorial Plaque was unveilded in front of hundreds of friends, family and local dignities which included even the Irish Minister of Sport!! An emotional day for his close family, and friends. Even the local radio was present!! This man was so loved by all…a man who called a spade a spade, very witty, but always the first to help you out…we miss him dearly…but for years to come his name will not be forgotten, and the plaque to be read by all in the future…and thank you to the organiser committee for the welcome, the coffee and sarnies after, and the Family Howard for the invite…it was worth the drive, meeting some herous of Irish Cycling, and some long time friends, regards, Jerome & Dany (BP Project)
