We are fully booked for the Cycling Ulster Award Celebration.Thank you for booking your ticket and we look forward to seeing you after a couple of years without this event. We will be celebrating the medal winners from our 2023 Ulster Championship events as well as handing out a number of non-competitive awards. This takes place on Sunday 28th January in the “Kelly’s Inn” 232 Omagh Road Garvaghy, Ballygawley, Co-Tyrone.

Taking place this year on 17th February why not give your bike a wash, buy a new bike, borrow a bike – whatever it takes to support our fantastic charity partner which provides so much support for local children and families effected by this devastating disease. We are pleased to announce B9 Energy Storage as title sponsor for this year’s Tour of Ards.
The race will use the same course as last year, starting and finishing in Portaferry. More details and entry to follow.

Dornan Ras Mumhan Elevates Cycling Excitement with Expanded 5-Stage Race in 2024
As the first days of spring beckon, cycling enthusiasts anticipate the warmth of racing days, and with great anticipation, the renowned Dornan Ras Mumhan announces its evolution into a 5-stage spectacle for the 2024 edition.

Race Director John Breen sheds light on the innovative transformation, stating, “As the region stirs from winter slumber on Good Friday, we are thrilled to unveil the expanded Dornan Ras Mumhan. Commencing with an 8km Team Time Trial and followed by a specially curated Road Stage on serene routes, this race promises an all-encompassing experience for riders and fans alike.”
Explaining the shift from Tralee, the opening stage host for the past two years, Breen expresses gratitude to the Tralee Manor West Club, assuring the return of Dornan Ras Mumhan to Tralee in the future.
The addition of the Team Time Trial aims for a balanced competition, ensuring minimal gaps among top contenders while spotlighting participating teams. Breen emphasizes, “This all-round course caters to diverse riders, aligning with the essence of teamwork integral to the sport.”
Dornan, the race’s new title sponsor, shares their enthusiasm, “We’re thrilled to support the 2024 Dornan Ras Mumhan, an event that echoes our commitment to excellence, teamwork, and pushing boundaries. We look forward to witnessing cyclists conquer challenging stages and celebrating the camaraderie that defines this thrilling race”, shares Dornan’s Group Managing Director, Micheál O Connor. Dornan recognises the significance of the 5-stage race format, emphasising the diverse challenges it presents to riders. This sponsorship reflects Dornan’s commitment to supporting events that embody teamwork, resilience, and the pursuit of excellence.
Host clubs, including Currow, Abbeyfeale, Killarney, Killorglin, and Sliabh Luachra, along with partners Cycling Ireland and Cycling Munster, eagerly anticipate hosting riders, teams, officials, and fans. The commitment of these clubs in collaboration with Dornan Ras Mumhan underscores their dedication to the sport.
