64th E3 Saxo Bank Classic (UCI 1.UWT) Harelbeke>>Harelbeke (203.9 km)

Kasper Asgreen has put a haunting edition of the E3 Saxo Bank Classic to his record. The Dane of Deceuninck-QuickStep was grabbed back after a solo of 54 km but still managed to win after a late attack 5km out…his teammates making sure no one getting him back…The wolfpack had 4 riders in the front of the race and played the number game. Wout Van Aert had to let the front go after blowing up at the last hill in Tiegem. Van der Poel was isolated and had to do most of the chasing himself, Van Avermaet and Naesens (AG2R Citroën Team) attacking a few times but to no avail …the Dane was gone!! Florian Sénéchal and Mathieu van der Poel completed the podium. What a finale and with the holy week of cycling coming up this Sunday, we certainly love a repeat of such top entertainment!!

So close and yet so far
