The 3 Irish CX warriors with Greta Lawless (Junior Girl), Conor Murphy (Junior Men) and Dean Harvey (Espoir) done their superbest, as they have to climb a hell of a mountain from the back of the grid, not to mention bad luck at the 2024 UCI CX World Champs in Tábor (Czech Republic) It their was medals for the support they received, the traveling support gang would deserve GOLD!!

Photos courtesy of Toby Watson, and Brian Spence, with thanks to both!

From the back of the grid to 33rd in the 53-rider world class field. Greta has given it all, as you see on this picture!!

Conor started as a bullet, passing a dozens of riders in the first laps reaching close to the 20th position when disaster struck, chain problems occurred to loose his gains, but managed to finish 38th, but still in the same lap as the winner Stefano Viezzi (Italy)

Dean Harvey, pro with Trinity Racing, and Irish CX champion was 33rd today at 5:42 from the Dutch winner Tibor Del Grosso in a 57 top world field!! A brilliant performance from the East Belfast man!!

Great shots of our West Belfast paparazzi Toby Watson can be found on https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100008650729508 (Photo Brian Spence)

Thank you all for supporting our young talent away from home
