What’s on this weekend, and the coming weeks in May? The Criterium season opens tonight in Armagh, this weekend the Groucho GP, and the Shay Elliott in Bray. Next weekend the Irish Crit Champs in Limerick, the PJ O’Riordan in Athea, and the Tour of the Mournes in Down to mention a few, not forgetting the Ras Tailteann, the Youth races in Carlow, circuit races in North Down, women’s TT league in Ulster, the Ernie Magwood Super 6 TT, the Dunloy GP in Antrim end month, also the International Ulster Youth 3-day in Derry!!

Hatched as an idea of Armagh City Council to run as a one-off in 2014 in the week leading up to The Giro d’Italia, the Criterium is now in its 11th year.
Race for an hour plus 3 additional laps of the new circuit with Primes after 20 and 40 minutes, awarding cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each Prime.
This year they are also increasing the number of cash prizes from the top six riders to the top TEN riders
!!!

Dunloy Cycling-Club are proud to announce that entries are now open for the Noel McIlfatrick Dunloy GP, taking place on Sunday 25th May. This years event has a prize fund of Β£1000 and the Noel McIlfatrick cup all up for grabs across the two races and is open to C1/2/3 riders. The 2024 “Armagh City Cyclist Races” this Sunday 25th August at the Navan Centre Armagh. A terrible morning weather wise, and both races ended up in a bunch sprint. They looked like Cyclo-crossers at the end!! Well done to Niall Daly (Armagh City Cyclist) in the A3 race, and Hugh Bonner (Four Masters) in the A4 race!!
