A diverse woman when it comes to cycling, time trial her favorite discipline, Eileen has represented Ireland at the worlds, and also for Northern Ireland the commonwealth games as dizzy heights of her career. Also involved on the track with the Irish Team in the past with even a victory at the UCI Dublin GP on her CV. Add the road racing to her skills as a member of the now-famous Bluebells of Ballymena and a bit of Cyclo-Cross lately (already reached a podium in the Elite class) and you have the perfect all-rounder so to speak. A woman who gives a lot back to racing such as participation in workshops, as a role model for aspiring youngsters. In her professional life, she is an Occupational therapist for the NHS, a very demanding job lately. A woman who made an impression on me, sportive wise and as a person. But let us get Eileen to explain in her lovely Ballymena accent, mixed with the interviewer’s Flemish accent we had an interesting chat.
