If you hear on the race radio that a few riders are up the road…you can bet Lindsay will be with them

Lindsay Watson, a Design Engineer at Bombardier during the week building things who fly, during the weekend basically flying on a bike, originally at the MTB section of the sport and switch to road racing a few years ago very successfully. Living in Banbridge and in his early racing a member of the talent factory called Banbridge CC, and now racing for the well-known Powerhouse sports racing team. His successes too much to mention here all, but when he goes “up the road” Lindsay means business and mostly wins, not having a deadly sprint he knows to read a race and pounce at the right moment to separate himself of the dangers around him. A top-ranked cyclist (second in the CI ranking in 2019) and this year started the opening weekend with a win and a podium in the only 2 races of the year been held in Ulster in March, and lead the rankings in 2020 nationally due to that weekend. We interviewed this soft-spoken gentleman after his Tour of Ards win last year. (photos and video courtesy of David mc Veigh BP media or otherwise indicated)
