Ludovic Robeet joined a breakaway after 60 kilometers of the 195km and leaves his companions one by one, Damien Gaudin was the last one to keep up, but the elastic went in the last 2 kilometers. The sprinter teams were not organized in a hard race with many cobbles and couldn’t reach the front in the end…Mark Cavendish (Deceuninck-Quickstep) slipped on the dreaded cobblestones 6km before the end…Mark was not badly hurt and finished the race.

Amy Pieters continued the good start of the SD Worx season in Nokere Koerse. The Dutch was the fastest of a trio that outwitted the peloton. Lotte Kopecky sprinted to 4th place. Pieters was clearly the strongest in the sprint with 3 at the Nokereberg and give SD Worx the fifth victory of the early season. Anna van der Breggen previously won the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and Chantal van den Broek-Blaak the Strade Bianche already for this very strong team!!
