The Spanish climber from Bahrein-Victorious Pello Bilbao wins the penultimate stage in the Tour of the Alps after a crazy descent…Simon Yates was 3rd and still comfortable in the leader’s jersey…Dan Martin crashes in the descent of the last climb and loses 3 minutes at the line!

Pello Bilbao has won the 4th and penultimate stage in the Tour of the Alps. The Bahrain-Victorious Spaniard descending abilities got him back to the leaders and faster at the line in the picturesque village of Pieve di Bono than Aleksandr Vlasov and leader Simon Yates. Dan Martin looked good and at one moment only 7 seconds down to the front when he took a fall, his momentum was gone, and lost too much time to be battling for the podium places tomorrow…A stage win tomorrow would heal the wounds of today. Nico Roche ended up in a group 18 minutes down to Bilbao.
