Andy (bottom right corner) at work for his beloved club Ballymena RC

I met Andy for the first time about 12 years ago in the Tour of the North and our paths have crossed since many times, always remember when I was part of the then known Belgian Team Decock-Capino who was competing in the TOTN, we had a query about some times given at the finish in Carryduff, he went through al video clips and went out of his way to rectify the times. Since then we became friends and got a shock when I heard today of his passing. Andy was a stalwart of the Ballymena team, a well-liked commissaire who was strict but fair, but always made us welcome at the races. He only had his 56th birthday a few weeks ago and the last time I was in touch with him to wish him all the best, and so sorry to hear the sad news. My sincere condolences to his family, friends and members of Ballymena road club. Rest in Peace Andrew

The way I will remember Andrew …the questioning smile
