Course description
The Ards CC XC Winter Classic is being run at the Whitespots Country Park in Newtownards, County Down BT23 7PH. There is a car park (free admission) at this location with a short walk (450m) from this area via a pedestrian path to the event Start/Finish area. Racing takes place on undulating off-road terrain with a mixture of technical and flowing sections on both dirt and gravel. Provisions will be available for spectators during the event. NB – this is an off-road location and rugged footwear is encouraged.

13:15 Ards CC XC Winter B Race – Men, Women.

The main course is challenging with great views from the top of the lead mines. Some tough climbs, fast sweeping sections, and tricky descents. Nice loops for the U6/U8 and the U10/U12 categories.

Registration: Closes 3 December 2021 at 8 pm
No registrations on the day
Number collection: Look for the Ards CC gazebo located near the start/finish.

Number collection closes 15 minutes before each race.
Race timing: Laptop timing for Under 8s up to seniors
Prizes: Medals for top 3 boys and girls in Under 8s to Under 16s
Prize money for Men’s A and B race and Women’s race. This will be paid out electronically after the race
Car parking: Follow instructions from marshals.
Toilets: Portable toilets will be on site.
Bike wash: No
Catering: Coffee van on site (Last Lap Cafe)
Gazebos: Are welcome close to the course
